How To Clean Ceilings

You look up to thank god and you realize that your ceilings are the dirtiest possible. Well, don't panic. The tips below will help you get rid of all the dirt on the ceilings. But before you get started, have all the required things in place. You would need a ladder or a stool to climb on to reach the ceiling, gloves, scarf to cover you face, even sunglasses so that the dirt does not fall into your eyes. Wear old clothes so that even if they get spoiled, they won't matter to you anymore. And most importantly, bring a newspaper to save your floor from getting dirty while you do the cleaning.

Before you start with cleaning the ceilings, cover yourself up with a scarf tied over the head. Do use a cloth to cover your face and mouth. If possible, try wearing glasses to cover your eyes.

Take a cobweb brush or any brush that is long enough to reach the ceilings. Reach out to the corners and edges. Seep the brush through the ceiling so that you don’t miss out on any part of the ceiling.

You could also use a vacuum cleaner in case of light fixtures. Its practically impossible to clean each and every light fixture. Use a long extension brush so that you clean properly and easily.

Try using a wet cleaning mop to clean the stained ceilings. These are more applicable in a kitchen. You could also use a wet sponge to clean the ceilings.

For washable paint ceilings or even washable wallpapered ceilings, use a cloth or sponge to clean it. You can clean it with detergent and later wash it away with clean water using a clean cloth or sponge.

Popcorn ceilings can get damaged with water. Use vacuum cleaner or dry mopping instrument to clean them.

While cleaning the ceilings, make sure you cover the furniture below. This will help you save time and not get started with cleaning the other things again.
