How to Clean A Hazy Pool

A cloudy and hazy pool not only destroys the beauty of your pool but also is a major cause of various health problems especially in young kids and elder people. Moreover it can also cause eye problems to those who swim regularly. A pool can become hazy and cloudy due to many reasons such as - unbalanced pH, bacteria and alkalinity, low chlorine levels, hard water etc.

Given below are few tips to which can be used for cleaning a hazy and cloudy pool. Please leave me a comment and share your experiences of cleaning a hazy pool.

Copper Solution – It is advisable to keep a trace of the poll chemicals weekly. After testing add copper (copper will react with water) to the pool this will ensure no algae or bacterial growth inyour pool.

Aluminum Sulfate - Aluminum Sulfate helps remove all the small particles from your pool. Add 8 ounces of the aluminum sulfate to your pool per 10,000 gallons of water to pull together all the samll particles from the pool. The addition of chemical makes the samll particles from a clump which settels down at the bottom providing you a clear pool.

Baking Soda – Baking soda has a natural tendency of controlling and adjustinig the pH level of the water which makes it just perfect for cleaning the hazy and cloudy pool.Add appropriate amount of the soda to the pool as mentioned on a 12-pound bag to get a clear pool.

Pantyhose - Position a pair of pantyhose above the return pump .The ability of pantyhose fabric to trap small particle will grasp even a smallest particle which sometimes a regular pool filters misses.

Socks – You can use socks fro rubbing the walls of the pool to get rid of the hay and cloudy water. This can be done easily by the swimmers getting into the poll wearing a pair of socks on their feet and hands. The swimmers should go to the bottom and rub the walls and the bottom of the pool for removing the deposited algae from the water.
