How To Clean A Leather Sofa

Leather is expensive. Its right treatment is important so that it lives longer. It is allergic to water and so it cannot be washed directly. So below are some easy steps that can help you clean your leather sofa time to time. The steps could be followed to clean other leather things like purse etc. Make sure you don't expose it to water. This will help fungus grow over it and eat into the leather.

 
Take a mild soap solution on a piece of cloth. Do not use detergent as they could damage the leather.
 
Now using very little water, apply the solution all over the sofa rubbing it gently.
 
Once you have done the process of cleaning the sofa with the soap, take a damp cloth and start cleaning the sofa. Take off all the soap on the sofa clearing it thoroughly. Don not wash it with water.
 
Now take a towel and wipe the dampness on the sofa. Wipe it thoroughly so that it doesn't remain moist. You can put it to dry naturally.
 
Now apply leather oil to bring back its sheen. Leave it for sometime and your leather sofa is all set for use once again.
 
You could try this with other leather objects too.
