How To Decorate A Large Window

Windows though are meant for ventilation but could do a great deal for your decor. This is the case especially with large windows that could be used for more than one purpose. With all sorts of decorative items for the windows, you could use it as a decorative section of the house. And it surely will draw a lot of attention. There are ample of ways that can help you make that simple window into a beautiful corner of the house. Just read the tips below to get an idea of how you can make a simple window look beautiful.

Begin with determining how much privacy you would need. This will enable you to decide what kind of decorations you would require for your window and what should be the length of the curtains.

You may decide upon what sort of window covering you would like. It could be shutters or binds and even plain curtains. Curtains pass color to the room and give the room a young look.

You may also use panels to decorate the windows.

It's advisable to keep the window decorations simple. This is because too much of decorations may take away the whole look of the window.

Try experimenting with colors. Color the window and little of its sides with a shade that matches the outside view. For instance, if you have a garden to which this window opens, try having bright colors. This would help the window look more attractive.

Try having the rest of the windows similarly treated. This will not look weird as it will give a complete look to your room.

Also, make sure even after adding a lot of color and décor to your window, that it opens and closes easily.

You can also have a pair of chairs next to it or in front of the window. This can be an add-on for the people who visit your room.

Try hanging decoratives or streamers on either side of the window.
