If your bedroom is smaller in size and if there is limited space available, then you have to choose the furniture very carefully. You can go for modern style furniture as they tend to be smaller and have clean cut edges which do not jut out and so cuts down on the space they take. You can go for bed with storage compartments to utilize the space so that you can use your wardrobe and drawer space for a better purpose.
 
If you don't need to worry about the space available, then simple shapes and wood are very popular for bedroom decoration. Choosing a bed first will also give you an idea as to how much space is left in your room for the other pieces of furniture that need to go in.
 
After you have chosen a bed, you may also want storage for clothing, jewelery and other accessories. Choosing other pieces of furniture depends on the space available in your room.
 
One important thing which should be kept in mind is the quality of the furniture that you are buying. The furniture you choose should be strong enough and last for a very long time.
