Polishing Tips For Concrete Counters

Concrete is the most preferred and admired material for the countertops because of their durability and low cost. Moreover concrete also offers a wide range of finishing possibilities. Installation of the concrete counter is followed by its sealing with a concrete sealer. Then a layer of pate wax is applied on it. The best way to keep the counter stain free and shiny is to maintain a polishing routine every two to three months. In this article I have elaborated polishing tips for concrete counters to help you keep you counter shiny.

Please leave me a comment and let me know how you follow a polishing schedule for your concrete countertops.

Use a damp sponge to wipe up your concrete countertop. Wiping with damp sponge will help you get rid of all dust, food particles and dried spills of your counter.

Leave the counter for some time to dry. You can also use a lint-free towel for drying the counter. Before polishing make sure that the counter is absolutely dry.

Take a clean, soft cotton cloth to apply wax coat on the counter. Try to apply a even wax coat so as to have a smooth finish.

Leave the counter with wax for 7-10 minutes and let the wax sit on the counter.

Use a fresh cloth for rubbing the wax of counter. Always rub the wax in circular motion. Keep on rubbing the counter until you get the desired finish.

Now apply a 2 cost of wax on the counter for better finish. Leave it for some time and repeat the procedure as stated above.
